Our week in Lima just flew by. We stayed in a very fancy area of town called Miraflores. The shopping centre is located on a cliff overlooking the ocean, it's crazy! ![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAJOzzKuRbw6ZUp8kHY5txJOZaQxO3yUuj-TIF8hHFWxB1vW_tDoh40FDdBHb6Xw0chQWxbP-zb_8qmU-WPeg5Qr-6RO00F5FNXFEJRKej6QgQRnxcegHInygtyHeleJkWmwkAieWmsjqa/s640/blogger-image-1413126767.jpg)

We found Paddington Bear, not is deepest, darkest Peru, but hanging out at the little playground on top of the mall.
Each day Spencer and I attended Cuso International workshops that were delivered in Spanish, I now know how all my English Language Learners in my Kindergarten class felt and understand why they were rolling on the carpet and crawling under the tables. They were super accommodating though and allowed me to attend for the mornings and then spend the afternoon outdoors with Max. During the workshops we try our best keep him amused.
One afternoon a volunteer showed us around the area. She took us to A park that is filled with stray cats. Max was very excited. The park is filled with all sorts of very friendly cats and cat-lovers. People are feeding, petting, and cuddling cats in every direction you look. Spence was not a fan (allergic to cats).
In the evenings we enjoy hanging out in the beautiful courtyard of our hotel. It's great for Max as it's completely closed in yet has lots of fun nooks and crannies to explore.
Max is being a little spoiled with pizza, hamburgers, french fries, and ice cream.
Over the weekend we are going to meet up with Mark's friend Kristel and Francisco and his family. Will post more tomorrow.
